From us to you!
Time for a little Christmas shopping; and we want to make it a little easier for you! Here are our picks, straight from Mixology.
First up from Lisa, this bird in a cloche is worth three in the bush. Everything is elevated under a bell jar:
New mommy Kathryn wants everyone to get a little extra “me time”- she’s giving flame stitch printed PJs, West Third candles, & authentic Indian kantha throws:
Susan is all about playing the numbers. These vintage numbered hotel key chains make unique stocking stuffers. Don’t forget the (numbered) gift tags:
Michel is gifting these quirky-glam (that is a trend, isn’t it?) vintage baby doll head forms. Perfect for the person who has everything and loves a unique conversation piece:
Need info on pricing, purchasing, or looking for more ideas for the discerning shopper on your list? Just send us an email and we’ll be happy to help you find the perfect thing!
Brunch for your visiting Bunch
With many of us expecting family and friends for the Thanksgiving holiday, there’s no shortage of planning and prepping to do this week. Being together is what this holiday is all about, and sharing food and friendship is even yummier with these recipes via Donna Hay. This simple Asian Mushroom omelette is perfect for out-of-towners or your own in-house brood…
Guests with a sweet tooth? Nothing says family get together like the smell of cinnamon in the air…
Serve with warm spiced coffee, or set up “adult” beverages (bourbon cider or cranberry cocktails, anyone?) on a sideboard…
…simple, elegant, and perfect for a cozy November morning. Enjoy!

Making Merry at Mixology.
Thursday night’s Merry Mixology event was a blast and we have the pictures to prove it!
Our guests of honor Jeffre Scott and Catherine Horgan gave lots of tips on how to dress it up and create a little sizzle for the Holidays, while we added a little extra sparkle to the Mixology shop to give you ideas for a festive home.
Here’s Jeffre giving his tutorial for the foolproof smoky eye:
Here’s our gift to you this season, a little insider tidbit- bring your makeup bag to Jeffre Scott and, as a complimentary service, he will go through it with you, help you decide what to keep and what to toss, as well as grouping colors into spring and fall categories- you’ll never have to guess again what works and what doesn’t.
Catherine had us thinking in a new direction, gathering inspiration from elements of winter decor (velvets, plaid, fur, and glitter) and incorporating them into our Holiday wardrobe- think velvet jackets, sequin tights & leggings, and clip on earrings added to your basic black satin heels.
Around the shop we wanted to reflect those same ideas. LOVE a plaid shade, and flokati draped over velvet:
Multiple mirrors reflect the glow of candles and low lighting:
Speaking of candles, everyone was raving about these scents from Patch, NYC:
Blogger Bryn Dunn won our door prize, the perfect modern take on a candlelabra. We’re sure we’ll see it on her holiday table, as she’s hosting this year.
Other favorite bloggers in attendance, Amanda and Mr. Goodwill Hunting. Together these three have a lot up their sleeves and we’re excited to see what they come up with next…
More shots from the night, and a view of the other goodies in store:
L to R, Catherine, our Kathryn, Lisa, Michel, & Jeffre:
the more the merrier, the whole LSI team & our guests of honor:
Bloggers taking pictures of bloggers taking pictures…
Perfect gifts for your “paper person”:
Let’s end with a snap of Lisa and this handsome gentleman- Take it from us, he’s going places:
Thanks to everyone for making the night so fun and festive! Questions about something you’ve seen in the shop? Email us here.

An Artful Display
It’s no secret that we at Lisa Sherry Interieurs love a good tablescape. Here are a few that had us from the start:
Gasping was heard when we caught sight of this tableau. It hints at a love of collecting on one’s travels. The variation of textures is tied together by colors ranging from earthy bronzes & neutrals to dusty jade and black :
From the same flat, another cord wrapped console hosts a collection that reflects the homeowners love of shells & coral:
Here, a strictly naturalistic collection against aged plaster walls contrasts coyly with a crystal chandelier:
If your collection revolves around one category or material, consider displaying it with prominence on a stand-out surface like Sir Terence Conran’s glass grouping:
Whatever you collect, be it items with pedigree or an array of flea market tchotchkes, remember to vary the height of your items and consider how they relate to the room they’ve been placed in. Your home should reflect who you are, and a tablescape is the perfect way to express your personality in your space. Happy treasure hunting!

A wish for a blissful weekend…
We’re headed off to the bucolic island of Bald Head for a client site visit and little breath of fresh seaside air. The tiny resort town, accessed by a ferry from charming Southport, NC, immediately implores you to slow down and take in the beauty of the scenery; Really, how fast can you go on this golf-cart-only island? Trust us, we’ll be working, but we’ll be savoring our work even more from this idyllic location. Have a blissful weekend~

Mark your calenders & spread the word!
It’s time again for another Merry Mixology! Be our guest as style guru Catherine Horgan shows you how to take your Holiday look to the next level. Beauty boutique owner Jeffre Scott, of Jeffre Scott in Myers Park, will give us some insider secrets as well.
Just in time for some Holiday shopping, Mixology will be open again for a limited time Thursday, Nov. 18th through Saturday Nov. 20th. We have a ton of not to miss goodies added to the shop this month! Find something for Mom, a teacher, or even yourself (we won’t judge)! Here are a few things we picked up just this weekend:
Great vintage industrial table lamps:
An antique English shield with a vintage American flag- so Mixology:
These and so many other great things at the shop- can’t wait to see you there!
Going Gold
Lately everything’s coming up gilded. Here at Lisa Sherry we are definitely repping the precious metal; it’s the perfect way to bring a little glam into every day.
This Atlanta loft, recently featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, glows gold from head to toe from all the sunlight, not to mention that zebra sequin pillow:
The latest Lonny had touches of gold in every abode:
Gary Spain went gaga for gold in this master:
Talk about drama- so hot with matte black:
Or go girly with a svelte settee & pops of pink:
We brought a little touch of it into our Charlotte studio:
An extra festive table for Coco + Kelley’s Cassandra:
Don’t forget to add a little gold to your Holiday table (yes, it’s almost that time!)- Canadian House and Home Mag votes for the Midas Carafe, dipped in the stuff! Available at Design Within Reach:
