These Boots Were Made for Walking

Although I’ve been in Florida and there aren’t too many boots in sight. It’s been a go-go-go kind of week, but nothing gets me more excited than new projects on the horizon.  More on that next week, have a great weekend!

At Home With Homeware

HOMEWARE is the new kid on the block and my husband (photographer Ron Royals) and I have been working with a brilliant creative director to shoot and style the sets and to define the HOMEWARE brand. The upholstery and case pieces are the stars here but I get to have fun setting the scene for each piece.

You may or may not know about the range of projects that I do but I love a challenge and my job description  travels far beyond the residential world. You’ve seen some of the events I have designed and today I have some images to show you of another project I’ve been having fun with over the course of the year.

It’s so much fun and takes me back to my early career where I did this full time for ad agencies across the US.

It’s Been a Week of Party Prep

I had a full week of ‘party-ing’ for market. Months of pre planning and it all comes together and SINGS!

The first party was for the Bernhardt 125th anniversary. Every detail was thought out from each bar to the signature cocktail. Next up, I styled my back yard with the creative gurus behind Lonny Magazine and Parlore who had rented my house for the week. The spirits were flowing, the food truck was delish, and mood was sublime. Working with the talented people are what truly made these soirées a success.  I loved every minute of it and I am already counting the days until Spring market so I can do it all over again.

Kay and Sherry have been long time clients and friends and own the amazing mountain camp called Skyland Camp for Girls where I host my Luxe Life Camp weekends. Due to its bucolic setting and well run facility, the camp for girls has grown beyond its summer only session to host weekend retreats in the shoulder seasons. My LUXE LIFE CAMP was the first but for those of you that attended the camp; you know that it’s more than design, its body mind and soul.  Kay has recently become certified to teach and host this amazing 3 day Equine Experimental Learning workshop SEPT 26-28TH. Check it out below, I plan to attend the next one.
