My favorite rooms feel spontaneous, unplanned and unregimented. How do you bottle that in a photo shoot? Click, cut, print - what the camera captures in an instant becomes the permanent reality of the space. Just a bit daunting!

Here's a peek behind the scene at how the magic happens. One of my favorite shooters, Patrick Cline, is behind the camera, framing up on the shot. And yes, that's me in the background setting the stage. The Boston Terrier is saying, "I will not do another take!" There's a diva on every set.
