THE WELL-DRESSED HOME REVEALED: A PEEK INSIDE INTERIOR DESIGNER LISA SHERRY'S LATEST HOME TOUR

WARDROBE STYLIST CATHERINE HORGAN CALLED INTERIOR DESIGNER LISA SHERRY WHEN IT WAS TIME TO OUTFIT HER NEW MYERS PARK TOWNHOME. TAKE A LOOK AT THE RUNWAY-READY HOME NOW.

WHERE FASHION, FURNITURE & DESIGN MEET

"Catherine Horgan is a top Charlotte, North Carolina, wardrobe stylist and personal branding expert. Where ever she goes – whether she's in workout gear or evening wear – Catherine always owns the room. It's the power of her personal style and positive energy. So for me, it was high praise when this fashionista reached out to me to design the home she shares with her husband ... not once, but twice.

"I had the pleasure of designing the couple's South Charlotte family home a number of years ago. Charlotte, North Carolina, is the smallest big city in the country. The artful social scene kept Catherine and me in close contact over the years. Most recently, with her children nearly grown and out of the nest, a desire for change tugged at Catherine's fashionable sleeve. A spacious townhome in the heart of Myers Park answered the call.

"The relationship between interior designer and client is personal and intimate. Ultimately,it's all about trust. I've had the pleasure of designing multiple residences for clients – and sometimes their children – over the years. This makes my heart happy. I was delighted to sign up for 'round two' with Catherine and her Myers Park townhome.

"In today's blog, I'm thrilled to share more about process and reveal this beautiful well-dressed home. It's time to share all!"

LOVE, LISA

IF THESE WALLS COULD TALK...

"Interior design projects can be complex and multi-faceted. There are many moving parts. People often ask, where do you begin? How do I get started? What comes first? In the case of this home, the answer was easy: Start with art. My client and her husband are avid art collectors. I knew from the very beginning that this well-dressed home would be a celebration of art. An appreciation for modern art of all variety is essential to the homeowners' personal aesthetic.

"The light bright neutral palette througout the home opens and elevates the space and naturally showcases the art. The homeowners have a keen sense of color. And balance. As we worked and collaborated on this project, I often noted the synergy between Catherine's, a personal stylist, and our interior design approach in the space. Home and fashion should naturally connect and be uniquely suited to the homeowners. That's what custom interior design is all about. It's Lisa Sherry Interieurs speciality!"

PERFECTLY CURATED FURNTIURE SELECTIONS

"I am told that our interior designs do have a certain signature or vibe. A Lisa Sherry Interieurs home is simultaneously classic and modern, set in light bright neutral palettes, clean and fresh, but with layers of texture and quiet detail. That said, no two Lisa Sherry rooms are at all alike! That's because we bring a unique perspective to every project and – very importantly – curate each and every piece of furniture, lighting, flooring and accessory item to the very last detail, and expressly for the homeowner.

"The home's dining room below is a great example. The modern oval dining table from Mr. Brown London is set on a pedestal base and surrounded by a quartet of mid-century modern vintage "S" chairs. I love the sheath-like drape of the upholstery fabric, which is original to the chairs. Defining background details include a neutral but highly textured rug and Belgian linen draperies. A ceramic bust on a pedestal stands watch over every soirée. A collection of white gesso candelsticks forms the table centerpiece. And overhead, an ethereal feathered chandelier illuminates the space. The dining room is both glamorous and inviting."

THERE ARE NO PESKY DETAILS

"When it comes to styling a home, we are a team of relentless editors. I beleive orchestratng the final finishing touches in a space is often more about taking things away, rather than adding more. I love layers, but only when they add truly meaningful detail, interest or function to a space.

"Does any room need a peacock? No, but it's a must-have in the foyer below. Since our client is an adventurous personal wardrobe stylist, I knew she would fall hard for this unsual sculpture, as I did. My team and I created a lovely welcoming moment with the bold bird, plus a white-washed console and round gesso mirror. The oversized gold lamp with black shade adds drama – and light!

THANK YOU, CATHERINE

"My team and I respect and value client privacy.Lisa Sherry Interieurs clients generally prefer to remain anonymous. Catherine Horgan, entirely with her permission, is the exception to the confidentiality rule. Catherine kindly opened her home to the Lisa Sherry Interieurs team to shoot the last edition of my Living newsletter.

Of course, Catherine and her family live (beautifully) in this space all year round. The Lisa Sherry Living newsletter showcasing the home gives us all a chance to imagine inhabiting the space.
